PETRAS Regional Showcase and Networking Event at Cardiff

On the 30th of June 2024, Cardiff hosted the PETRAS Regional Showcase and Networking event. Set against the backdrop of the vibrant academic environment of Cardiff University, the event was thematically titled “Connected Spaces”. Its primary objective was to create a confluence of various PETRAS projects and interdisciplinary initiatives within the university. The gathering served as a unique platform, fostering dialogue and collaboration. Participants delved deep into the intricacies of their research, identifying any existing voids and exploring the vast expanse of untapped opportunities. One of the pivotal outcomes anticipated from this discourse was the germination of ideas, which could potentially evolve into future research projects.

The impact of this congregation was multifaceted. For many, it was an invaluable opportunity to network with peers, industry experts, and the local academic community. Furthermore, this event held the promise of leading to potential grant applications, further propelling the momentum of innovative research. In essence, the Cardiff PETRAS Regional Showcase was not just an event; it was a milestone in the journey of academic exploration and collaboration, knitting together the best minds in the PETRAS community and beyond.
